This workshops concerns people looking for basic introduction and practical training in what we call adobe or raw earth construction technique.
We’ll introduce other types of bioconstruction such as bamboo, superadobe and cob.
The program includes classes on :
- Adobe bricks making
- the arch in architecture
- site preparation
- soil as building material
- managing openings
- foundation and drainage
- plaster and waterproofing
- introduction to bioconstructions techniques

Host and Adobe master
After finishing a degree in Social Anthropology he decided to go travelling and became a divemaster, then a jeweller and has now been living, building, and planting in Nicaragua for the last 6 years. He has reforested 1.5 hectares of agricultural land and has built 4 houses from earth and bamboo using a variety of techniques including cob, adobe brick making and laying and earthbags, as well as making ovens, stoves, tables and benches, all from earth...

Permadomia instructor
Specialised in Superadobe and bioconstruction design, Cecilia will teachthe theorical lectures and will assist Dan in the bricks making.

Hosted in La finca La Magia, an organic farm near San Ramon, come learn with us about adobe construction.
Dan and his family has been living here for 6 years and created a little self sustainable paradise. They use solar energy and filter their grey water through the garden. Dry toilets have been constructed.
He used different technique to build around the property. We can admire bamboo structures, adobe houses and an amazing superadobe with bamboo roofing dream house.
He became an adobe expert, being more in touch with the local resources.
The garden produces organic, chemicals free food that will be used to cater the vegetarian diet during the workshop.
The delicious meals are cooked by Nati and Chelo a lovely couple with a gift regarding cooking on a wood stove (they are as well the best to do incredible hibiscus wine). In addition, there is a profusion of bananas for snacks.
Accommodation vary from hammock, dormitories to private bedrooms.
