Hey! I’m Cécilia, a 32 year old engineer from France.
I decided to put my skills and knowledge for the benefit of sustainable development through natural and innovative solutions.
A few details…
Born and raised in the center of France, it’s after a mechatronical engineering degree that I decided to pack my bag and wonder the globe. My journey took me from India to Peru going throught Mongolia, Tibet, Japan, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Bolivia, Kenya, Madagascar and many more.
During this journey, I realized the complexity of the world, its beauties as well as its shadows, and their balance. Cultures, histories, beliefs, cycles, natural as well as man-made landscapes.
I started volunteering in India, then Lao, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina… and couldn’t stop. It was during a PDC in Kenya that I got introduced to Superadobe by a fellow participant.
After 5 years on the road, it was time to go back home. But I brought the earth-bag technique with me. I signed up for CalEarth workshop in Morocco and stayed in touch with the teaching team. I had the chance to assist to 2 other workshops in France later this year.
Being now passionate about this technique and its strengths, I’m eager to transmit my passion for those nature-like curved buildings.
Working as Permaculture Designer since august 2015 and Superadobe Instructor since october 2016.
I did my firsts permaculture designs in Kenya during a 2 months PDC with Sadhana forest in summer 2015.
Then I participated at a superadobe construction of a shower and toilet near Nairobi.
In 2016, I built 3 domes with CalEarth Spain in Morocco and France. I also participated to the teaching and translating of the workshops.
Alongside, I designed and launched the construction of a summer kitchen of 18sq m near my home town of Orleans.
I assisted as well Matabariba, a kenyan organisation working in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, providing them with Superadobe structures 3D plans and material quotations.
I participated in 2017 to the design of a healthy food, yoga and bioconstruction training center near Manague, Nicaragua
In 2018, a serie of 7 constructions lwere built from South to North Tunisia, in cooperation with the Sodga Superadobe team. From teaching domes to touristic residences up to 40m².
