This workshops concerns people looking for basic introduction and practical training in what we call Superadobe or earth bag construction technique.
We’ll introduce Nader Khalili’s work and research.
The program includes classes on :
- introduction to Superadobe
- the arch in architecture
- the compass
- site praparation
- soil as building material
- managing openings
- Basic and advanced design
- foundation and drainage
- plaster and waterproofing
Practical : 2,4m dome building from bottom to top

Nico
Host and Ecoconstruction master
Willing to connect back with Nature and the forest 10 years ago, Nico bought a piece of land neighbouring Compiegne forest.
There, he started to plant vegetables and to manage organically and following Bill Mollison’s advises his land.
One unlucky day his wooden chalet burnt down, he lost everything he had.
That planted the seed in his mind, that nothing is eternal. His interest for natural building became a passion and he learned and discovered throught practice how to build hamp and clay shelters, strawbale houses, natural plaster, and community life!
Cecilia
Permadomia instructor
Specialised in Superadobe and bioconstruction design, Cecilia will teach the theorical classes and lead the dome building.

Near Villers-Cotterêts, Picardie, France
Hosted in a natural farm near Villers-Cotterêts, this workshop is near the forest of Compiègne.
For the lasts years, Nico and his side kicks worked in search of a food and energy self sufficiency under the Picard’s sun. Strong of their experiences in eco-construction, this community welcomes this wonderful technique that is the Superadobe to meet their their ker-terre, ker-wood and structures in strawbale.
Accommodation : camping on site, with dry toilets and solar shower, bring your tent,
Meals are also taken on the site, provided by the organic veggie garden of the community.
